Course starts outside the
shop at the car park side of
the museum. Course does approx 50 metres to join the lap outside the new garden centre
and now follows an outer ring- ie you go straight towards Clifton
School. Swing left 90 degrees before the exit gate and use the grit track down towards Doncaster Road,
left again along
the bottom of the park. Now however, continue towards the main
entrance/exit around the cenotaph (keeping it on your left) and climb
from there to the start/finish.
Three full laps, on the third the finish is by swinging right at the garden centre to the finish (which is exactly where you started). This course was tried out in November and met with general approval. With slightly varied opinion, it is very close to 5k and having three climbs can be regarded as a bit easier than the previous which had 5. |
