To simplify the whole process of taking payments, from the 1 January 2025 it is intended that all membership and track fees should be paid be direct debit.
The club element of membership renewal (Juniors £25 or £20 for siblings, Seniors £30) will be taken on 10th January. If you do not wish to renew the membership would you let me know.
Where applicable, the England Athletics fee of £20 will be taken on 1st March. This payment will only be requested from those who paid the EA fee in 2024. If you paid in 2024 but no longer wish to do so, please let me know.
For those currently training in coached groups the track fees will be £16 per month starting in January and collected on the first of every month. This payment ONLY covers the Monday and Wednesday training sessions at Herringthorpe. For those at University, the payments will only apply when they are in the area.
Sessions on other days and/or at other venues need to be paid to the appropriate venue.
The current practices are extremely time consuming and difficult to manage. On the training fee side, our training fees have remained unchanged since the existing system was adopted in 2013. We are now reaching a point where an increase will become essential but, with the current system, the only practical increase would be £1 per session which was felt to be too much of a step change.
The direct debit system should make life simpler for everybody with no cash needing to be handled.
In December, the monthly mandate for track fees will be set up and everyone affected will get a specific notification that the payment will be taken 1st January.
At the start of January, we will trigger the collection of the club membership payment on 10th January and, again, everyone will get a personal notification of the amount to be taken.
In March, we will take the England Athletics registration fee from those who have paid it in the past and those young athletes who will reach 11 in the 2025 track season
Create the direct debit mandate as soon as possible but no later than 30th November 2024!

On the first page, enter the name of the athlete you are registering for (yourself, partner, child), the contact email address to be used for notifying when payments are to be taken and the address for the account you will be using to pay.
On page 2 give the account details for the person PAYING and continue to create the mandate. THIS WILL NOT TRIGGER ANY PAYMENT.
If you are creating a mandate for more than one person, click on the link again and enter the next person’s name on P1, payment details on P2 and so on. Once the mandate is set up, I will initiate taking the payments.
